Today Congressman Kevin Yoder voted in favor of H.R. 2278, to limit the use of funds appropriated to the Department of Defense for United States Armed Forces in support of North Atlantic Treaty Organization Operation Unified Protector with respect to Libya, which failed by a vote of 180 to 238.
"I respect the President's constitutional authority as Commander in Chief. However, I believe the administration should have an open and honest exchange with the United States Congress whenever a President sends our troops into harm's way and asks the taxpayers to fund the mission. At a time when our government is borrowing forty two cents on the dollar, and we are already engaged in two costly wars, the American people deserve answers from their President."
