Vote to pass a bill that establishes regulations on hormone-related dairy labels.

Highlight: -Prohibits specific statements regarding hormones from being on milk labels, including "No Hormone," "Hormone Free," "rBST Free," rBGH Free," and "BST Free" (Sec. 1). -Authorizes the statement "This milk is from cows not supplemented with rBST" to be featured on dairy labels only if the accuracy of the statement is verified in a specified manner and if the label also contains the statement "The FDA has determined that no significant difference has been shown between milk derived from rBST-supplemented and non-rBST-supplemented cows" (Sec. 1). -Prohibits dairy product labels from featuring statements that indicate the absence of a compound prohibited by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (Sec. 1) -Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall apply to reusable and nonreusable dairy containers on and after January 1, 2011, except that the aforementioned statement regarding the FDA's findings related rBST-supplemented cows that is required to accompany the allowable label statement claiming that the milk is from cows not supplemented with rBST shall be required before that date (Sec. 1).
